Early exposure to atypical parkinsonism sparked a deep interest in movement disorders for Dr. Avantaggiato. This passion has shaped her career, driving her to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease and its long-term complications, as well as conditions such as tremor, parkinsonism, dystonia, and tics. Recently, she expanded her focus by completing a fellowship in neurorehabilitation for movement disorders.
